How to Cure Disease
What is a salt bath?
Since ancient times, salt water has often been used to treat goldfish diseases. When using salt, the key points to consider are the concentration and the time of application. Goldfish in freshwater can tolerate up to 3% salt concentration, but not for long periods of time. For the general public, it is recommended to use a salt concentration of 0.5% or less. For example, 0.5% salt for 100 liters of water is 500 grams; a 60-centimeter aquarium holds an average of 50 liters of water, so salt should not exceed 250 grams. *Salt is also effective when used in conjunction with a medicated bath.
Many goldfish are sometimes treated with salt to prevent disease or as a remedy for illness, but many people are not sure what to do or how to do it. In this article, we would like to explain about salt baths. What is a salt bath?

What is a Medicated Bath?
A medicated bath is a process in which medicine is dissolved in water and the goldfish are placed in the solution. If you want to give a specific goldfish an effective medicated bath, you can make a solution in a separate container and place the goldfish in it for a few seconds to a few minutes. If all the goldfish in the aquarium are to be given a medicated bath, the medicine should be put directly into the aquarium and observed for several days, but the concentration of the medicine must be diluted before putting it in. When bathing goldfish, be aware that some plants in the aquarium may need to be removed depending on the medication.
